Because Aellyn was not created using The Speech, it does not work and function here as it does on Nita's works. She cannot use it to effect the inanimate or animate objects and people native to this plane. Attempting to use The Speech on machines and other things in Havenwell will be like us in the real world talking to plants or rocks, it has no reaction.

As for effecting or changing people's kernels, this also won't be allowed except in cases where the other player permits it expressly. It cannot work on natives to this plane because of the reason stated above (The Speech did not create this world). As for an in-world explanation as to why the player characters can't be effected, it's likely because everyone has been touched by the gods to be brought here and their divine magic resists alterations from outside sources.
