Sorry to keep on tacking onto this thread, but more q's keep on bring brought up by the characters uhh so--
Verstael has larger samples of the spiders he's kept this entire time. He wants Pyra to investigate them further. In regards to the "the invading creatures have been mutated by whatever poison"... Can it be determined that these creatures were something else that were mutated into spiders? Or is it more, like, their blood itself was mutated to be black and spooky to have this toxin, but they were originally just giant spiders to begin with anyway? Or (and ofc, this is perfectly fine too) is such an analysis indeterminable at this point?
