Sildar ore is a secondary major component in what is considered "god metal", AKA the combination of metals that can channel the magic of their gods. It is part of the metal bodies housing the robots' souls, it is part of the food replicators, and it is woven into certain sections of the city wall to support the magical barrier surrounding it. By itself, it is not particularly magical or useful, though with the right combination of metals it has some mild magical containment properties.

Since it is more common than its rarer counterpart, Sildar ore has been known to be used to construct a variety of metallic items, such as tools, appliances, and sometimes jewelry. It is not particularly strong by itself, but is rather an enhancing ore that functions best when combined with other metals.
