I have a question regarding the applicability Warriors of Light from FFXIV, since they fall into a weird category of being semi-malleable canon characters in the skin of an original character. Warriors of Light all follow the same linear story progression with no deviation save for the city they start in (and optional choices in which jobs they pick up, but jobs are not part of the main storyline).

Players can give whatever personality and backstory fits with their Warrior of Light (though canon does give an outline of personality to work with), but everything else is pretty much set in stone. There is less variance between one WoL and another than there is one incarnation of the malleable protags in Dragon Age or Mass Effect versus another.

TL;DR - I'm not really sure what a Warrior of Light would be classified as in regards to character type for an application!
